Army major wins writing award

Army Maj. Nathan A . Jennings has been named winner of the 2015 Starry Writing Competition for his essay, “Balancing the Combined-Arms Force.”

A student at Command and General Staff Officer’s Course, Jennings is a frequent contributor to ARMOR magazine.

Before GCSOC, Jennings was an instructor at the U.S. Military Academy’s history department in West Point, New York. He’s also served in a number of leadership positions throughout the Army.

Jennings, who was raised in Palmer until joining the military out of high school, is the son of David and Teresa Dickson of Palmer.
