WASILLA — Alaska State Troopers with the State Drug Enforcement Unit-Mat-Su seized approximately $10,000 in cash and heroin and methamphetamine with a street value of $9,500 during an arrest Monday evening.
Following a months-long investigation by multiple agencies into the distribution of heroin in the Mat-Su Valley and Anchorage, Vincenzo "Vinny" Yacovelli, 21, and Caitlynn Horton, 19, of Anchorage were arrested without incident near Swanson Street in Wasilla.
At the time of the arrest, they were in possession of 13.62 grams of heroin, 26.41 grams of methamphetamine, and thousands of dollars in cash.
