Over the weekend, Alaska State Troopers (AST) received a report of an electronic social media post that contained inappropriate content related to harassment and sexual conduct. According to the AST dispatch, the social media post appears to be related to students associated with Redington Jr/Sr High School in Wasilla.

The Matanuska-Susitna Borough School District (MSBSD) says it has been made aware of the recent social media posts regarding student conduct at the school.

“We take all concerns seriously and remain committed to ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students,” said John Notestine, Public Information Officer for MSBSD.

Troopers are actively investigating this incident. Troopers will also continue to work with school administrators, Department of Juvenile Justice, and parents during this investigation.

This is a developing story.
