KNIK-FAIRVIEW — Three masked men invade a home and stole about $2,000 worth of household items Tuesday afternoon before fleeing the scene in a pickup truck, authorities said.
Alaska State Troopers arrested Corey Nicholas Jones, 28, of Wasilla, Jesse John Sullivan, 33, of Wasilla, and Adam Knight Nikita Drew, 20, of Wasilla Wednesday in connection with the robbery of the home along Bel Aire Drive.
Jones was arrested after a traffic stop about 10 p.m. July 1 following a traffic stop in Wasilla. Troopers arrested Sullivan July 2 at a home on Pilgrim Court in Wasilla. And Drew was arrested July 2 at a residence on Pioneer Peak Drive in Wasilla’s Williwaw subdivision.
The three men allegedly entered the home and restrained the only occupant before taking off with the items, according to trooper dispatches.
The accused face one count each of kidnapping, first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary, third-degree assault, and second-degree theft.
Jones and Drew have previous criminal histories.
Jones pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor fourth-degree assault charge in December 2014.
And court records show Drew has multiple misdemeanor convictions for fourth-degree assault and theft in the Palmer Court starting in 2010. A grand jury indicted him on second-degree burglary charges in June 2013, but he eventually pleaded guilty to misdemeanor fourth-degree criminal mischief. Since that conviction, Drew has faced six petitions to revoke or modify parole.
Sentencing information for these convictions is no longer provided online. The Palmer Court was closed Friday for the Fourth of July holiday.
All three remained in Mat-Su Pretrial Friday afternoon. Jones’ bail was set at $50,000 with a court-appointed third-party custody requirement. While Drew and Sullivan had both been arraigned Friday morning at 10 a.m., bail information was not immediately posted online for them.
First-degree kidnapping is an unclassified felony and carries a potential maximum sentence of up to 99 years. First-degree robbery is a Class A felony, and carries a potential maximum sentence of 20 years. First-degree burglary is a Class B felony and carries a potential maximum sentence of 10 years. Second-degree theft and third-degree assault are both class C felonies, and carry a potential maximum sentence of five years.
