Colony High School senior Kenyon DePriest has been named the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman Prep Student-Athlete of the Week.
DePriest caught a pair of touchdowns during a loss to the Service Cougars during the ASAA/First National Bank large-schools semifinals at Anchorage Football Stadium last Saturday.
DePriest caught an 8-yard touchdown pass from fellow senior Payton McCann in the third and later in the quarter, DePriest caught another McCann pass and ran 75 yards for a score.
“Kenyon had a heck of a game,” Colony head coach Brian McIntosh said after the game. “After he had that first touchdown and went on defense and started slamming it. We knew on our next offensive play, we were going deep to Kenyon.”
The Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman congratulates DePriest on his
success.
