Wasilla senior Paul Sliwa has been named the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman Student-Athlete of the Week.
The Wasilla senior captain scored the final three goals for the Wasilla boys soccer team last Friday to notch the hat trick and lead the Warriors to a 5-4 nonconference win over West Valley at The Dome in Anchorage.
Two of Sliwa’s scores tied the game and his third was the game-winner.
“He took us up on his shoulders in the last 15 minutes and really dictated the outcome,” Wasilla head coach Blake Livingston said of Sliwa.
The Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman congratulates Sliwa on his success.
