Matthew Rongitsch, a member of the Colony Knights cross-country running team, has been named a Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman Athlete of the Week.
Rongitsch finished second in the varsity boys race during the George Plumley Invitational. He also helped lead the Knights to a first-place finish in the boys team standings.
The Frontiersman congratulates Rongitsch on his success.
Mark Kudryn
Houston Hawks
Mark Kudryn, a member of the Houston Hawks football team, has been named a Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman Athlete of the Week.
Kudryn rushed for 164 yards and four touchdowns to help lead the Hawks to a 44-0 win over Barrow. He also helped Houston improve to 4-0 this season.
