Alana Barron, a member of the Susitna Valley Rams girls basketball team, has been named a Frontiersman Athlete of the Week.
Barron was selected to play in the Alaska Association of Basketball Coaches 1A/2A Girls All-Star game, and finished with 15 points an 11 rebounds.
The Frontiersman congratulates Barron on her success.

Alia Shane, a member of the Wasilla girls soccer team, has been named a Frontiersman Athlete of the Week.
Shane scored two goals during wins over both Colony and Eagle River last week.
