Director Larry Bottjen is looking for 14 males, 15 females and 20 youth to play roles in the VPA production of the L. Frank Baum classic, which plays March 23 to April 29.

“The Wizard of Oz” is a musical and requires solo-quality vocalists for the lead parts, as well as lead voices and chorus members who can blend with others. People need not prepare anything, just show up.

School auditions are limited to the first 35 children who sign up at each location and are limited to one school audition per child.

Adult auditions — for ages 14 and older — are from 1 to 4 p.m., Dec. 3, and 5 to 7 p.m., Dec. 4 at Valley Performing Arts, 251 W. Swanson Ave., Wasilla.
