BIG LAKE — The Aurora Dog Mushers hosted the Aurora Junior Sprint Scholarship at the Aurora Dog Mushers Track in Big Lake last week.
The event, open to mushers age 4-17, featured one-dog and three-dog team events.
Joseph Baron was the top musher in the one-dog event, posting a three-day total time of 2 minutes, 10.35 seconds. Baron finished 10 seconds ahead of second-place Aila Berrigan.
Jonathon Myers won the three-dog class, with a total time of 37:28.76. Rya Berrigan was second with a time of 40:22.55.
