Cash, guns, drugs and enough Fentanyl to kill 22,000 adults, according the the Alaska State Troopers, were seized during a two-day, multi-agency operation in the Palmer, Wasilla and Big Lake areas.
“A focus on the identification and disruption of theft and narcotics trafficking,” troopers said of the operation in an online dispatch posted Wednesday evening.
Authorities seized $1,739, four guns and three stolen guns, 20.57 grams of methamphetamines, 22.73 grams of heroin, six does of LSD, and 17.62 grams of Fentanyl, according to troopers.
Authorities contacted 72 people and served 31 arrest warrants. A total of 28 people were also arrested. Offenses included felony theft, eluding, drug distribution and possession, and felon in possession of a firearm. Investigations are ongoing and more charges are expected, troopers said.
The Statewide Drug Enforcement Team and Criminal Suppression Unit led the effort. Several units including AST, Wasilla Police Department, Palmer Police Department, DEA and Helo 3 also assisted.
