The Alaska Avalanche will host their first playoff game in Palmer at the MTA Palmer Ice Arena Friday at 7:30 p.m.

The Avs meet the Wenatchee Wild in Game 3 of the best-of-5 North American Hockey League first-round series. The Wild scored a pair of wins last weekend during Games 1 and 2 in Wenatchee. Alaska needs a win Friday to force a fourth game, which would be played Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the MTA Palmer Ice Arena.

Avalanche wins on Friday and Saturday would set up a decisive Game 5.

Playoff tickets are still available and can be purchased in advance at outlets such as Carrs/Safeway in Palmer and Wasilla, The UPS Store in Palmer and Wasilla, Marcie’s Mojo Drive Thru Espresso and the Avalanche team office.

Tickets purchased in advance are $8 for adults and $6 for seniors and students. Tickets purchased at the MTA Palmer Ice Arena gate are $12 for adults and $8 for students and seniors.
