ANCHORAGE — Alaska forward Larry Kincaid scored in the sixth round of a shootout to lift the Avalanche to a 2-1 win over the Kenai River Brown Bears Friday night at the Subway Center in Anchorage.
Kyle Pichler also scored for Alaska, which got 36 saves from goalie Nathan Corey.
The two teams face off against each other again Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Curtis C. Menard II Memorial Ice Arena in Wasilla.
