Back governor, troopers not abuse of system

Thank you Frontiersman for shedding light on the Alaska State Troopers in your recent stories. Clearly, the Palin/Heath families are the victims in this four-year battle with a law enforcer and family member who abused his power.

Alaskans can and should be proud of our troopers who live up to their motto: loyalty, integrity and courage. Many fine men and women are dedicated to protecting and serving Alaskans. They inspire trust in their communities because of their character, and brave challenging conditions to ensure public safety. Trooper Wooten and the Public Safety brass and PSEA union manager that protected him have left a black mark on our trooper organization.

I’m inspired by the courage of the Palin and Heath families and many other families who stand up to this abusive behavior. Additionally, I commend Governor Palin for remaining committed to DPS and the Trooper organization regardless of her personal, private family situation that is playing out in public. She is humble, honest and hardworking. Eighty-plus percent of us thank her for her efforts.
