To the editor,
A big shout out to the West Valley Wolf Pack for inviting the Colony High School Marching Band to perform at half time during the football game Friday night, (9-18-15). To me, this speaks volumes to the character of those who made this invitation. Their willingness to allow us to show our school spirit and share the talents of these fine musicians is greatly appreciated, unlike an Anchorage school who “disinvited us” last week. We look forward to traveling 300 miles to perform for the wonderful people of Fairbanks and West Valley High. “Thee Northern Sound” is the only marching band in the State of Alaska and is thrilled to perform whenever and wherever we can. Our students will be competing at Grand Nationals in Indianapolis this November and look forward to representing the great state of Alaska. Thank you again Wolfpack for showing great sportsmanship, you should all be very proud.
