WASILLA — Sparked by an early surge, the Wasilla Warriors cruised to a 15-1 baseball victory over Houston April 20 at Houston High School.
Wasilla, which improved to 4-1, scored nine runs in the second inning. The Warriors finished with nine hits in the win, while allowing Houston just one run on one hit.
The barrage of runs included a pair of RBIs from both Hank Boyer and Ryan Perkins.
Austin Robertson struck out nine on the mound for Wasilla.
Dimond downs Palmer
Dimond held Palmer to a pair of hits during a 12-2 nonconference win over the Moose Friday at Bartlett High School in Anchorage.
