Baseball: Wasilla earns first victory

WASILLA — Nolan Monaghan and Tyler Boensch combined to pitch a three-hitter to lead Wasilla to a 10-0 win over Palmer Tuesday at the Wasilla Senior Field.

Monaghan allowed only two hits and fanned three to earn the win.

Cooper Hanson drove in five runs to lead the Wasilla offense. Hanson was 3 for 4 and also scored a run. Blake Carricaburu and Mitchell Chauvin added two hits each. Chauvin scored three runs.
