ANCHORAGE — The Wasilla Warriors knocked off 3A power Anchorage Christian School 73-55 during the first round of the Alaska Prep Shootout at Dimond High School Thursday evening.
Wasilla started the game with an 18-12 first-quarter run, and led 35-22 at halftime. In the second half, Wasilla stretched its lead to as many as 19 points.
Senior Alex Baham scored a game-high 31 points in the win. He was 11 of 14 from the field, including 5 of 7 from beyond the arc. Reilly Devine added a dozen points for Wasilla, and Justin Lee chipped in eight.
Levi Auble led ACS with 29 points.
With the win, Wasilla moves forward and will play Bartlett in the semifinals, today at 7 p.m. at Dimond High. Bartlett beat Lathrop 80-76 in the first round.

Knights win at Monroe tourney
FAIRBANKS — The Colony boys and girls basketball squads each edged a Northern Lights Conference rival during the first day of the Mt. McKinley Bank Classic at Monroe Catholic in Fairbanks Thursday.
The Colony boys erased an early double-digit deficit to beat Soldotna 53-44. Soldotna jumped to a 12-3 first-quarter lead in the game, and held an 18-7 advantage in the second quarter.
Bailey West, who scored a team-high 12 points for Colony, used a key three-pointer to cut SoHi's advantage to 18-10 in the second quarter.
The Knights cut SoHi's lead to six points at halftime.
Colony used a big third quarter to jump ahead. The Knights opened the second half with a 13-2 run in the first 2 minutes and 30 seconds of the third, and outscored Soldotna 20-13 during the period.
Anton Chamblee scored five of Colony's 20 third-quarter points.
In addition to West's 12 points, Graham Dinkel scored 10 and Harrison Menard added seven. Menard was 7 of 8 from the free throw line in the second half.
In girls' action, Colony led early and held on for a 34-28 win over Soldonta. The Knights held a 13-6 advantage in the first quarter.
Chase Stephens led Colony with 11 points. Sarah Bonn added seven, and Faith Farris chipped in six.
The Colony boys continue the tourney against Ketchikan today at 4:40 p.m. The girls face host Monroe today at 6:20 p.m.
