Be heard, win a $500 grocery card

If you’re reading this editorial, we know you are at least an occasional reader of the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman. But what other newspapers do you read? What websites do you visit? Where do you shop? And how do you use our newspaper and our website to enhance your shopping experience in the local marketplace?

We would love to know. Answers to these and other lifestyle and shopping questions not only help the Frontiersman give you the information you need and want, but now could also land you $500 in groceries from Carrs/Safeway, or a $300 professional carpet cleaning from Sam’s Carpet Care.

To be entered into the drawing, all we ask is that you take a 20-minute online survey. To participate, you must be 18 or older and a resident of the Mat-Su Borough. A link to the survey is online at pulseresearch.com/frontiersman.

For the purposes of conducting the survey, the Frontiersman has partnered with Pulse Research, an independent, respected, research company, to conduct this study on our behalf.

We are living in uncertain economic times and are hoping this research will provide insight into the economic climate of the communities we serve and enable us to strengthen the community bonds we share. The Frontiersman has an obligation to its readers and website users to be proactive within the communities we serve. This is not a responsibility we take lightly.

With a better understanding of consumer needs and priorities, we will be able to show local businesses that Frontiersman readers are in the market for the products and services they offer. By seeing expected shopping trends, local businesses can be more confident in their marketing efforts to target the right consumers and increase the flow of local shopping dollars in their direction.

In turn, money spent locally strengthens the local economy, as those dollars have the potential to exchange hands multiple times. This puts us in the unique position of being able to positively affect our readers, local businesses and our own business.

But we cannot do it without you. Your opinion is not only important, it can make a big difference, too.
