EAGLE RIVER -- In its first action after the winter break, the Palmer hockey squad fell to the Bartlett Golden Bears 5-1 at the MacDonald Ice Arena Tuesday.
Palmer's lone goal came with just less than seven minutes remaining in the second period. Eli Riggs put the puck past Bartlett goaltender Matt Skingel to cut the Bear lead to 2-1.
Bartlett scored three unanswered power play goals in the final 22 minutes of the game to secure the win.
Palmer netminder Kyle Berti stopped 22 shots in the contest, while Skingel registered 11 saves for Bartlett.
The Moose return home to face cross-town rival Colony tonight at the Brett Ice Arena at 7.
