BECKER - STEVENS ENGAGED

Sen. Ted Stevens and his wife, Catherine, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Lily Irene, to Preston Hamilton Becker of California.

The couple is planning a late August wedding.

Lily is the youngest of the Senator’s six children. She is the granddaughter of Elladean Hays Bittner of Anchorage and the late William Edward Bittner. The bride-to-be obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Stanford University and a law degree from the University of California at Berkeley.

Preston graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and has pursued a career in real estate in the San Francisco Bay area. He is the son of Margaret M. Becker of Los Gatos, Calif. and the late Frederick George Becker II.

The couple met in San Francisco through Lily’s cousin, who attended the University of California with Preston.
