BECKY L. McCOOL-HAINES

Becky L. McCool-Haines, 40, died Sunday, Dec. 15, 2001, in a trailer fire in Palmer. Becky was born in Burley, Idaho, and came to Alaska in 1969.

Becky had spent most of her life in Anchorage and had just recently moved to the Valley.

Becky leaves her mother, Judy Skaggs, and stepfather, Gary Skaggs, of Anchorage; brothers, Gary Skaggs III and Clint McCool, both of Anchorage; sister, Vicky Riffe, of Texas; her children, Arianna and Forest Haines, of Texas, Colton Haines, of Nevada; and her fiance, Randy Irvin, of Palmer.

Becky was preceded in death by her infant son, Brandon Haines, and her ashes will be scattered in Resurrection Creek Valley where Brandon now rests.

According to those who knew her, Becky never met a stranger -- she made friends wherever she went. She was compassionate and loving, always ready to give her last dime to help a friend or someone who was down or without. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m., Friday, Dec. 21, at Kehl's Forest Lawn Mortuary.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Haines children account at the South Center branch of Northrim Bank.

Arrangements were by Kehl's Forest Lawn Mortuary & Crematory.
