Begich should ‘Choose Respect’

To the editor:

There is a lot of misinformation flying around this election season. In the few days remaining until Election Day it’s important that the facts are set straight. Mark Begich went a step too far by releasing a campaign mailer that included an Alaska Network on Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault logo used to imply an endorsement. This is simply not true. ANDVSA does not endorse candidates and clearly informed both campaigns according to the press release by, Executive Director Peggy Brown.

This is another example of Mark Begich taking credit for something he didn’t do. The reason Mark Begich is stooping to this new low is because he can’t run on his own record. He didn't deliver on the promises he said he would fight for six years ago. I’m supporting Dan Sullivan for Senate because he has a history of advocating for women across the state. He put action to words by championing the “Choose Respect” campaign, which aims to raise public awareness about the epidemic of domestic violence and sexual assault we face as a state.
