Would you agree that one important qualification for a U.S. senator should be that he or she is a visionary, working for the common good of those represented (and not just a “yes-man” for special interests)?
I recently learned that Anchorage Mayor Mark Begich and Mat-Su Borough Mayor Curt Menard have signed a joint agreement to create a Regional Transit Authority. This RTA will work to address the needs of regional commuters, whether by train, bus, van, carpooling, or a coordinated combination of any of these.
What a marvelous idea! Perhaps you’ve heard of “an idea whose time has come.” Well, the RTA certainly fits that description.
And I think Mark Begich fits the description of a visionary who is also well qualified for office with proven leadership and HONESTY — all qualities Alaska could use on our Congressional team. I would encourage all who are interested in truth and integrity to check out his website, then vote for Mark Begich for U.S. Senate.
