The Mat-Su Resort is the scene of a benefit for Ken Peltier, a popular Valley musician who is suffering from throat cancer. Hobo Jim will be there for “AlasKen Country” from noon to 10 p.m. Sunday. All ages welcome. A fun room will be available for children plus two stages for live music. It’s no-smoking event. Proceeds go to help pay medical bills. For more information, call 376-3228.
