Palmer resident Betty Jean Moore, 77, died at home of natural causes April 7, 2004.
A memorial service will be held in early June. A service announcement will be published when the date is set.
Mrs. Moore was born Feb. 21, 1927, in Kaukauna, Wisc.
She attended Palmer Central School in Palmer.
Mrs. Moore was a Valley Colonist, moving to Palmer with her family in 1935.
She had worked as a cashier at Koslosky's Department Store and D&A Grocery in Palmer.
Her interests included gardening and spending time with her family and friends.
Mrs. Moore is survived by her husband, Don Moore; children Patrick Moore, Michael Moore and Michelle Podall; sister Gwennie and brothers Virgil, William, Ronald and Robert Meehan.
Her family wrote, "She liked her flower garden which had blooms on the day of her passing. She will be remembered with much love."
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Hospice of the Mat-Su, 3051 E. Palmer-Wasilla Highway, Wasilla, AK 99654.
Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home & Crematory in Wasilla.
