Beverly Ann Stengrim

Beverly Ann Stengrim, 89, went to be with the Lord on January 29, 2021, surrounded by her family.

She was born on July 7, 1931, in Warren, Minnesota, to William K. Berg and Dagney A. (Sanders) Berg. She was one of 12 children.

She was raised in Warren. Bev loved to read and even did dishes while reading. She would climb up on a tree and read after doing chores. She also worked as an assistant to nurses at the Warren Hospital.

She met Dennis Stengrim in Warren, and they were married on December 31, 1951. They lived in Denver while Dennis finished his schooling. They moved to Alaska in 1960. They lived in Sitka and adopted three children, Dena, Judy, and Jon. In 1970, they permanently moved to Palmer, Alaska.

Beverly was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Golddusters Homemakers Club, and Pioneers of Alaska. Dennis and Beverly were Palmer Pioneers King and Queen in 1997.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by her children, Dena (Chuck) Donn, Judy (Andy) Corbin, and Jon (LeAnh) Stengrim; and her sister, Lola Fulks of Chandler, Arizona. She has 15 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
