Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Lazy Mountain Bible Church will host a seminar entitled “Did Jesus Really Say That?” on Oct. 2 and 3. Stephen J. Bramer, who is Department Chair and Professor of Bible Exposition at Dallas Theological Seminary, will present five sessions from the Book of Matthew. Bramer also taught for 16 years at Briercrest Bible College and at Briercrest Biblical Seminary in Saskatchewan, Canada, before joining the faculty of Dallas Seminary.
He also has taught elders and youth pastors throughout Canada and the United States. He serves as adjunct professor for Word of Life Bible Institute in Hungary, as well as at the Jordan Evangelical Theological Society in Jordan. He also is a teaching elder at Waterbrook Bible Fellowship.

Oct. 2
• 9:15 a.m. and 11 a.m. — Session No. 1, “Did Jesus Really Say ‘Be Perfect Like God’?” (Matthew 5:48)
• 6 p.m. — Session No. 2, “Did Jesus Really Say ‘Don’t Do Righteous Acts in Public’?” (Matthew 6:1)
• 6:55 p.m. — Session No. 3, “Did Jesus Really Say ‘Don’t Worry About Material Provisions’?” (Matthew 6:25)
Oct. 3
• 7 p.m. — Session No. 4, “Did Jesus Really Say ‘Don’t Judge Others’?” (Matthew 7:1)
• 7:55 p.m. — Session No. 5, “Did Jesus Really Say ‘Not Everyone Who Says to Me, Lord, Lord, Will Enter the Kingdom of Heaven’?” (Matthew 7:21)
