As the holiday season is now upon us, the students and faculty at the Mat-Su College (MSC) would like to invite you to check out some big deals at the upcoming Miniature Art Sale on campus in room FSM 200 on December 6, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Artists have poured their creativity and passion into crafting miniature masterpieces for this holiday show. Working within the challenge of 16 inches or less has inspired innovative ideas and intricate designs, showcasing their talent in a unique way.
Events like this foster confidence and camaraderie among our students. The show is more than an opportunity to sell jewelry, prints, original paintings, photographs, and more. It’s a celebration of their growth and a way to connect with the local community through the universal language of art.
Students will be able to experience the excitement of people seeing their artwork while being able to ask them questions during the show.
Knowing that their art can bring joy to others while earning some holiday money for themselves has made this show especially meaningful. It’s a chance for them to celebrate their hard work and creativity in a way that’s both personal and impactful.
The miniatures will range in price from $3 up to $200. By purchasing a piece, you’re not only supporting young artists but also investing in the future of the arts at our school. For each purchase, 20 percent will be used to support the MSC Art Department.
It’s a wonderful example of how their passion for art can benefit the entire community. It also brings in the real-world experience of selling in a gallery setting helping them to learn the business side of displaying their artwork; being part of an art show.
During the sale, musician Lance Bodner will be playing the guitar and you can have your purchase gift wrapped for just $3 extra.
