Big Lake assault suspect sought

A Big Lake man is sought in connection with the second-degree domestic-violence assault of a Wasilla woman that occurred Nov. 29, Alaska State Troopers said.

Jimmy Lampley, 32, is wanted for questioning, troopers said in a press release. Officers responded to a residence in Wasilla after the assault was reported at 6 a.m. and Lampley was identified by witnesses, troopers said.

Troopers said Lampley became "violent and combative" toward the 38-year-old woman. He caused serious injuries for which the woman was treated at Valley Hospital, troopers said.

Anyone with information about Lampley's whereabouts is urged to call troopers at 745-2131.

Records in the Palmer courthouse show Lampley faces separate charges of first-degree criminal trespassing filed in June and violating a domestic-violence restraining order filed in July.
