Big Lake man arrested for child sex abuse

PALMER — A Big Lake man is being held on $250,000 cash only bail after he was arrested on a warrant for child sex abuse as he was leaving the Palmer Courthouse May 3.

Alaska State Troopers say they arrested Shawn Baldwin, 43, around 12:40 p.m. on a warrant for multiple counts of first-degree sexual abuse of a minor.

His arraignment is set for 11 a.m., May 6 in front of Judge Kari Kristiansen at the Palmer Courthouse.

He remains incarcerated at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility on a temporary $250,000 cash-only bond order that also requires a court-approved third party to watch him as a condition of release.
