Big Lake man arrested for drive-by shooting

BIG LAKE — Alaska State Troopers say they arrested a 32-year-old man who is alleged to have performed a drive-by shooting on a local home.

According to a trooper press statement, the drive-by shooting was reported at 6:57 p.m. Tuesday on Kenaka Bena Loop.

“The shooter was identified as James Keene, age 32, of Big Lake,” troopers report.

They say Keene drove by the home and fired on it while driving his vehicle. No one inside was hurt.

Keene was charged with assault and weapons misconduct and jailed at the Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility on $50,000 bail. Jail records as of Wednesday morning showed that he was still incarcerated.
