Big oil are big babies

I really do not know what all the fuss is about raising our tax rate to big oil a few percent. If I were the grand poobah of Alaska it would be 50 percent or more. After all, folks, it is our oil.

They are crying and bellyaching about the tax hike, and if they didn’t get their way they’d pick up their toys and go home. Like we are going to buy that one. I wonder how they raise our pump prices anywhere from 2 to 10 cents at their pleasure. Do they have a dart board or just pick anything they like and we have to eat it, like it or not?

All we can do is gripe when they apply the next gouge. Their last profit statements had them earning billions. I hear there are a few Alaska lawmakers that are fighting for big oil. After our next state election I wonder who their next employers are going to be. My guess is Mr. Oil.
