It’s that time to vote for MEA board members. These elections are important because they determine how our utility will function in the future. We depend on the reliability of electricity in our day to day lives and our current board has delivered on our expectations.
We have a board that works well together-lets not change it! One board member, Bill Kendig, has received the Director Gold Certificate for outstanding service and is a long time 32 year resident of the Mat-Valley. His contribution and dedication to MEA consumers has provided us with less power outages and lower costs than other utility companies this size. Bill has served on the Knik-Fairview Community Council for over 20 years and is now the current president. He also is on the Board of Directors for the Alaska Energy Authority (AEA) and Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority (AIDEA). Bill brings a lot of knowledge to the MEA Board by serving on two State Boards that work closely with MEA on construction and energy projects. Bill has attended several seminars in the lower 48 with other board members to advance there knowledge of how best to improve the reliability and affordability of MEA for there consumers. I strongly urge you to vote for Bill Kendig for the MEA Board Susitna West District.
