Bill sponsor defends Kohring

To the editor:

As the sponsor of HB 22, which would require discharge reporting from cruise ships in Alaskan waters, I have had the opportunity to work with legislators and their staff on both sides of the aisle. Rep. Kohring and his staff have been working with myself and my staff on this legislation and I am pleased that Rep. Kohring will be hearing HB 22 in House Transportation this Thursday [April 19].

While we may personally have divergent philosophies, Rep. Kohring has been willing to listen, and he and his staff have worked hard on the issues involved.
