Billie Parker, 56, died Monday, Aug. 4, at her home in Kenai. A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held for her at the Moose Lodge in Kenai with the date still to be determined.
Mrs. Parker was born Sept. 4, 1946, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She moved to Alaska in 1995 where she met Wesley G. Parker of Kenai. They married on July 7, 1999, in Homer.

Her family said, "She and her love Wes spent much of their time in service to the community and always looked forward to fellowshipping with their friends and the special events that involved the children. Billie loved Alaska and looked forward to the summers when she and Wes fulfilled their dreams of traveling the state and fishing on the Kenai River. She was an avid 'dip-netter,' and enjoyed halibut fishing."
Mrs. Parker is survived by her husband Wesley; his six children, Robert, David and Brian Parker, all of Wasilla, Lori McCanna and Kim Parker of The Dalles, Ore., and Wade Parker of Keiser, Ore.; her two daughters, Starlia Klopman of Austin, Texas, and Sissy Huelsnitz of Minneapolis, Minn.; son-in-law Paul Perry of Nikiski; 21 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her father James Marion Helton and mother Faye Loraine Dalton of Stephenville, Texas.
