Valley Performing Arts’ second show of its 35th season — “Blithe Spirit” — opens Friday and runs through Nov. 7. Show times are Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Ticket prices are $14 for students/seniors and $16 for adults. Dave Nufer directs Ted Carney, Tami Shelton, Suzanne Hermon, Patty Taylor, Bonnie Honkola, Bill Seidler, and Carlee Nufer in this comedic farce by Noel Coward. Patrons are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Food Pantry of Wasilla.

VPA’s next play — “King Island Christmas” — shows from Nov. 26 to Dec. 19, and is based on a true story about King Island. The theater company will collect Toys for Tots for the Mat-Su Special Santa program at each performance.
