WASILLA — The body of a Kentucky man was recovered from the Susitna River earlier this month.
According to an Alaska State Troopers online dispatch posted Tuesday, AST received a report of a body partially submerged in the Susitna River about a mile upstream of Deshka Landing on July 9. Authorities confirmed the identity of William Hartlage, who had been missing since June 27.
Hartlage, a 76-year-old Louisville, Kentucky, resident, was reported missing by a family member after not returning from fly fishing at Willow Çreek at the Susitna River.
