On Sturday, as people were attending different events at the Alaska State Fairgrounds in Palmer, Palmer Police received information regarding a possible bomb threat at an event at the Alaska State Fairgrounds.

In an online post, Palmer Police Department (PPD) reported that officers immediately responded to the Alaska State Fairgrounds, where multiple events were being held, including the “Underground Pride” event. Officers contacted security and FBI personnel, who were also in attendance of the event.

Alaska State Fairgrounds personnel made the decision to evacuate the immediate fairgrounds. PPD, Security and FBI personnel swept the grounds for anything suspicious.

The post did not mention which, if any venue was specifically targeted, and upon completing a search, no suspicious people or items were found, and the venue was reopened.

PPD reminds people that at anytime, if you see or hear of something suspicious, please don’t hesitate to call. “See something, say something.”

This is a developing story.
