Bonnie Kay (Moos) Graveley

Bonnie Kay (Moos) Graveley passed away at home in Wasilla, Alaska on May 21, 2018 at 11:10 AM. (The same day that her father Albert passed away 5 years prior.) She was born September 20, 1946 in Terry, Montana to Albert and Lillian Moos. Bonnie grew up on a farm near Brockway, Montana. She attending Brockway Grade School and graduated from Circle High School in 1964. She graduated with a Secretarial/Associates Degree from Kinman Business University in Spokane, Washington; where she met Art Graveley. The couple married in Circle, Montana on September 3, 1965. They lived for a short time in Spokane, WA; Billings, MT; and Fort Knox, KY. Bonnie and Art ultimately made their home in Anchorage, Alaska, then Kenai, and eventually Wasilla, Alaska. Bonnie’s Secretarial Degree led to many jobs, including Secretary to the Post Master of the U.S. Postal Service. She later worked for the State of Alaska Court System as a legal secretary and paralegal retiring after nearly 20 years of service with everyone’s extreme respect for her work ethic, honesty, and fairness. Bonnie kept busy by being an active member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and as a volunteer at Bishop’s Attic Thrift Store in Palmer, Alaska. She and Art took numerous vacations and road trips, visiting family and friends around the country. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 52 years; daughter & son in-law Wendy Graveley & John Benson; son, Lance; grandson, Xavier Benson; brothers: Harold (Susan) Moos, Gene (Susan) Moos and James (Rachel) Moos along with their families. She was preceded in death by her parents and by niece, Melinda Moos. Memorial Mass will be held 1:00pm Friday May 25, 2018 at Sacred Heart Church – 1201 E. Bogard Rd in Wasilla, Alaska. Father Joseph McGilloway will be officiating.
