Friends of Wasilla Library raised more than $10,000 through our two used book sales. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you who attended the sale and also those who support us during the year to make these events possible.
Heartfelt thanks go to Annabel’s and Fireside Books, Legion Post 35 and Alaska Mini Storage. Bert Cottle has taken the lead in getting volunteers to move boxes. This past sale, we had volunteers from Burchell High School. Ronda Ingham and Marilyn McGuire are steadfast in behind-the-scenes preparation setting up tables, unpacking boxes and sales help are multi-person tasks.
Many thanks go out to Pansy Herring, Liz Potter, Dick and Marie Wilson, Friends of Wasilla Library board and the many others who help year after year. A special thanks to Next Step students and their aides.
Proceeds from the used book sale go to support the new Wasilla Library. For project updates, visit wasillafriends.org or Facebook.
