Alaska Road Warriors shortstop Josh Boring, who became one of the team's top players in his first season with the varsity squad, was named to the 2007 Alaska Legion Baseball Team of Excellence at the state banquet last week in Anchorage.
Boring, 15, batted .343 this season and was the youngest player named to the first team, which was voted on by Legion coaches from around the state.
Also earning honorable mention on the team were Road Warriors catcher Wesley Smith and left fielder Corey Cowgill.
