Had to laugh when I read the editorial “Bogard or bogus” in the March 11 Frontiersman.
How much money, along with three years, has been wasted with no results?
The Mat-Su Borough management is wasting time and money chasing the Hatcher Pass elephant. You want bogus? The planning department couldn’t plan a game of spin the bottle.
And then there is the Borough mayor, who showed zero leadership, zero backbone by voting a no-build option (for a Bogard Road extension). The only logical route is through open farmland. It is the least disruptive to the most people. The longer you wait, the more disruptive and more expensive it will be.
The planning department is already 20 years behind the power curve. The same is true for the Parks Highway upgrade through Wasilla to Big Lake.
