WASILLA — When local Boy Scouts plan an event, you can bet your bottom dollar they’ll be prepared.

Opening tonight, Scouts from the Valley and Southcentral will perform a selection of Broadway musicals, bolstered with professional talent. Along with an auction, the show starts at 6:30 p.m. at Settler’s Bay Lodge, with proceeds going to help the Scouts attend the National Jamboree in Washington, D.C., this summer.

“Broadway In Love” is a musical revue featuring young talent from the area to help raise the $18,000 needed to send Scouts to the Jamboree.

Along with the show, the $40 admission includes a meal of London broil or cordon bleu prepared by Settler’s Bay Lodge and access to the live and silent auctions.

Tickets for tonight’s show and an encore performance on Saturday are limited and can be purchased at Little Britches store on Knik-Goose Bay Road (next to the Digital Cup) or by calling 373-2800.
