WASILLA - A Jordan Ingalls hat trick helped propel the Wasilla boys soccer squad to a 4-1 win over the Kenai Kardinals on Saturday at Wasilla High School's Veterans Memorial Field.
The Wasilla junior's three scores gives him seven goals this season. Ingalls has scored in five-straight games for Wasilla. Sophomore Adam Friese added his third goal of the season for Wasilla.
With the win, Wasilla improved to 5-1-1. Wasilla head coach Blake Livingston is pleased with his team's performance, but also realizes there is still work to be done.
“It's a nice place to be, but we also know nothing comes easy in this region,” Livingston said.
Prior to the Warrior boys squad's win over Kenai, the girls suffered a 4-0 loss to the Kardinals. Wasilla fell to 3-3-1.
Colony boys
blank Skyview
Colony improved to 4-0-1 with a 3-0 win over Skyview at Skyview High School on Saturday.
Senior Bryan Tomlinson posted a goal and an assist to lead the Knights. Senior Jarrod Carney and freshman Bridger Van Ness also scored for Colony.

In girls' action, Colony scored its first win of the season, beating Skyview 3-2.
Kards slip

Despite a 2-1 boys soccer loss to the Kardinals at Houston High School on Saturday, Hawks head coach Chad Rice said his team played its best soccer of the season.
Houston held Kenai scoreless in the first half, but the Kardinals were able to post two quick goals early in the second half.
Ryan Contreras put the Hawks on the board with a powerful long shot.
