Oil giant BP has upped the ante on a donation to Willow Elementary School teachers who lost personal items during an April 12 vandalism of the school.

Willow principal Alberta Nordberg said she received word this week that the $500 per teacher donations have become $1,000 donations. Nordberg will also receive money from BP to pay for items destroyed in her ransacked office.

BP will present the teaching staff at Willow elementary with their checks during a ceremony May 13 at 2 p.m. at the school.
