Break Over

I took a few days off from exercising, which is why there hasn't been a blog for a couple of days. Lynn and I were so so so sore and not feeling so hot. So we didn't go to the gym on Sunday, Monday or Tuesday (yesterday). We are planning to go to the kickboxing class this evening and proceed with our ever-other-day routine. The break has been good but I kind of miss working out. Even though I was BEYOND sore, I had a sense of accomplishment. It's rough though when your body hurts so much that you don't want to move!

Even though there was a small break in exercise there was not a break in my "diet". I was still watching portions and trying to eat healthy… with the exception of a slice of chocolate cake (with chocolate frosting) to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Hey, I read that studies have shown that if you completely remove a favorite food from your diet, you wil be more likely to WAY overdo it the next time you are allowed to enjoy that particular food. So by eating that piece of cake I was avoiding a future catastrophe! Right?!
