Retiring teacher, coach urges Colony grads to ‘find their 68’

Bret Martin McDonald, 56, born Sept. 29, 1947, in Turlock, Calif., died Jan. 1, 2004, at his home in Willow.
Mr. McDonald came to Alaska in 1972. He was a Marine Corps Vietnam War Veteran. He was a welding inspector on the pipeline and also a taxidermist. He loved hunting and fishing, and he was also an avid reader.
He is survived by his parents Richard and Dorothy McDonald of Seattle, Wash.; his sister and brother-in-law Yolonda and Jerry Fall and their daughter Kim, of Auburn, Wash.; and various other relatives plus many, many friends whom he treasured dearly.
Memorials may be sent to the American Diabetes Foundation (Research), 801 West Fireweed Lane, No. 103, Anchorage, AK 99503, or to your favorite charity. There will be no services at this time. Funeral arrangements were made by Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
