Brief Case

Dozens of jobs available

Alaska Job Center is hosting a continuing series of interviews to fill 214 positions for the new Red Robin restaurant, which will open Dec. 13 in Wasilla.

Since Nov. 2, the center has been hosting interviews for numerous full- and part-time positions. Because of the high number of jobs that need to be filled, the center is conducting back-to-back interviews and orientations on the hour. So far, Red Robin has offered jobs to more than 100 applicants, but more than 100 more are needed.

The final days of interviews will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the center, 877 Commercial Drive in Wasilla. Anyone interesting in interviewing should show up about 15 to 20 minutes early to fill out paperwork and come dressed for an interview.

Positions include host/hostess, server, mixologist, busser, janitor, cook and prep cook. Pay ranges start at $7.75 per hour and increase depending on position and experience.
