Realtor earns lifetime achievement award
Longtime Mat-Su Valley resident Krystal Rogers, with RE/MAX of Wasilla, has been presented with the RE/MAX Lifetime Achievement Award, which honors highly successful agents who have earned more than $3 million in commissions and have completed seven years of service with the company. A 15-year Valley resident and lifelong Alaskan, Rogers has worked in the real estate industry for more than 10 years and has extensive experience in residential and commercial real estate.
As a past board member of the Mat-Su Homebuilders Association, she brings extensive knowledge to the home building community. She is also a member of the Greater Wasilla Chamber of Commerce.
25 years of building businesses
Alaska Small Business Development Center is celebrating its 25th anniversary in 2011. Since 1986, the Alaska SBDC has provided in-depth quality information and technical assistance to pre-venture, startup and existing businesses to promote growth, expansion, job creation, innovation and increased productivity.
The SBDC is a cooperative venture of the U.S. Small Business Administration and University of Alaska Anchorage.

Chiropractor attends test committee meeting
Arctic Chiropractic’s Dr. Walter Campbell participated in the annual Part III Test Committee meeting Feb. 25-26, at the headquarters of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners in Greeley, Colo.
Serving as a representative of the Alaska Board of Chiropractic Examiners, Campbell was one of 12 participants from across the United States chosen to analyze and select questions for the Part III written examination.
Village CEO association hosts conference
The Alaska Native Village CEO Association is hosting a conference on April 7 at the Captain Cook Hotel. This daylong event brings together key decision-makers from Native village corporations across Alaska and experts in the field of contracting, energy opportunities and professional development. The Better Business Bureau’s free document shredding is coming to the Mat-Su. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., April 16 at Wells Fargo Bank, 1701 E. Parks Highway, people can drive up and drop off up to three bags or boxes of unwanted documents per person.
